ProQuest博硕士论文文摘数据库是世界上最具权威的学位论文数据库，特别是北美高等院校博硕论文的核心资源。目前读者可以访问该数据库中全球1000余所大学文、理、工、农、医等领域超过260万个毕业论文记录。论文内容涵盖了从1637年全球早期博硕论文，到本年度本学期获得通过的博硕士论文信息。数据库中除收录与每篇论文相关的题录（citations）外， 1980年以后出版的博士论文信息中包含了作者本人撰写的长达350个字的文摘。1988年以后出版的硕士论文信息中含有150个字的文摘。另外，该数据库大量提供前24页可以免费预览，特别是对于1997年以后出版的论文，其中有１万多篇开放获取论文提供全文。该数据库为周更新。
